Our Sunday morning creche meets in the church hall during the 10.30am service and is for all infants and preschool children. It is supervised by a volunteer but parent-led so a parent is required to be with their child. We live stream the main service into the hall so that parents can be involved whilst being with their child.
We start in church with the main congregation and then leave after a couple of songs and re-join the congregation for the last song. We always have toys and games for children to play with and most weeks there is a story and colouring/craft for the children to be involved with. During the school holidays we are joined in the hall by the primary aged children.
In the main church we have a children’s corner with some toys, colouring and books. This is available for children to use during the beginning part of the service (under parent supervision) and we have sofas at the back of church if parents want a more comfortable place to sit with or feed young children.
All volunteers have been through the safer recruitment process, are DBS checked and have undergone safeguarding training in line with our policy for safeguarding children and vulnerable adults.
