St Mary’s aims to be an outward looking church with practical, financial and prayerful interest in God’s work worldwide. As part of our response to Christ’s commands to make disciples of all nations we support a number of organisations with a special focus on these few.

Triumph Heart, Uganda
Triumph Heart (Uganda) was founded by Teresha and Israel Karahukayo
Teresha and Israel Karahukayo felt their ministry in Uganda was developing in a different direction and in 2022 decided to change their name from Spring of Hope to Triumph Heart. Teresha and Israel observed that poor feeding habits often led to malnutrition which was a major cause of poor health, endangering the young children’s lives. They are now focusing on producing nutritious food supplements.

Dr Mano Emmanuel – Colombo Theological Seminary, Sri Lanka

Returning to Sri Lanka she has taught for over 15 years at CTS which is an interdenominational, multilingual and multi-ethnic college in Sri Lanka training people for Christian ministry. Mano has also been awarded a Doctorate.
Youth For Christ
We’re about seeing young people’s lives changed by Jesus.
Our heart is to support and equip churches who recognise the importance of sharing Jesus with the next generation and want to make the brave but necessary step of confidently engaging with young people where they are, both physically and spiritually. When young people are out of their homes, there are three places where they often spend their time: at school, in their own community (either in person or online), or engaging in some sort of local church or youth provision.
They work in schools, facilitate Youth Cafes (including the one held here on Monday afternoons and support training for youth workers and volunteers.
