There’s a children’s book called ‘Guess how much I love you?’ in which two characters, Big Nutbrown Hare and Little Nutbrown Hare, are telling each other how much they love each other. The extent of their love gets bigger and bigger, finishing with Big Nutbrown Hare declaring ‘I love you right up to the moon – and back’.

Lent is a time for us to reflect on how much God loves us all. From God’s amazing creation to giving us His Son, Jesus, God’s love is evident everywhere we turn. How much does Jesus love us? He stretched out his hands and said, ‘this much!’

Furthermore, in Romans 8, Paul writes:…I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Whatever season of life you find yourself in at present, my prayer for you is that this Lent, you would know discover and experience how wide and long and high and deep God’s love is.
